Full Description

Lincoln Union Workhouse was erected between 1837 and 1838, to the designs of William Adams Nicholson. A large school building with accommodation for children was added to the site in 1879-80. In 1913 a new infirmary, laundry and vagrants ward were proposed to be built to the designs of Mr Watkins; it is not certain if these were ever completed. The workhouse had been completely demolished by 2005. {1}
