Under these names, for nearly another century they turned out a mass of engineering products ranging from boilers and crankshaft forgings to bridges. One of their final products before they closed down in the 1970s was the structure of the Cambridge 'Cyclotron' which was involved in much of the earlier work on nuclear physics.
