The site of James Coultas's 'Perseverence Works', Grantham's second most important agricultural implement manufactory (after Hornsby). For 100 years from the middle of the 19th century the firm produced a wide range of machinery and was outstandingly successful with seed drills and manure distributors, winning a sucession of medals at Royal and County Shows.{1}
