Site of former blacksmiths workshop. Old maps and trade directories indicate that occupying the buildings which once lined Westgate, a centre of rural commerce, were many former agricultural 'service industries' such as nail makers, small brass and iron founders, ropemakers, blacksmiths, wheelrights and the like.{1}
