Full Description
At the foot of Gonerby Hill stands the Vaculug factory. During the Second World War the site of a former brickworks at Gonerby Hill Foot (see PRN 37037) was developed into an outstation of the BMARC shadow factory (The British Manufacture and Research Company), to make ammunition and aircraft cannon components. It subsequently became the headquarters factory of the internationally renowned Vaculug process, for the re-treading of large earthmoving tyres. {1}
