Type and Period (1)

  • (Post Medieval - 1700 AD to 1899 AD)

Protected Status/Designation

Full Description

PRN 70600 Limestone walls were uncovered during a watching brief. A single fragment of 18th-20th century tile was found within the fabric of one of the walls, suggesting an approximate date range for its construction. The walls appear to represent the remains of a cellared building. The alignment of these remains does not reflect the current alignment of Danesgate, suggesting that either the building was set back from the road or that there has been a change in the alignment of the road. {1}{2}
