Full Description
PRN 65259
Circular features are visible on aerial photographs. It has been suggested these features may be prehistoric burial mounds or medieval windmill mounds. If they are windmill mounds, it is thought that they may be connected with the lost deserted medieval settlement of Millthorpe (PRN 65257). {1}{2}
However, on close examination of other aerial photographs, it is clear that these features are actually related to recent equestrian activity and are probably horse exercise rings. {3}{4}
