Full Description

PRN 65172 Probable late medieval earthwork ridge and furrow, Walcot near Folkingham. Depicted on the NMP.{1} Aerial photographs of ridge and furrow, Walcot near Folkingham.{2} At 65172a there appears to be a small earthwork enclosure and a linear feature which cuts across an earlier set of remains. Google maps shows the eastern ditch takes a sharp turn and then heads east to a modern ford across the stream. The ditch on the northern side of the enclosure seems to link with another possible ditch which runs north and defines the edge of the ridge and furrow. There is also a mound to the north of the earthworks. {3} An earthwork enclosure appears on the Google Maps dating from 2010 at 65712a. {4}
