Full Description

Post-medieval deposits consisting of a ditch and dumped deposits were seen during a watching brief at 76 Milestone Lane, Pinchbeck. The ditch corresponds with a boundary shown on a mid 19th century map of the area. The dumped deposits may represent a deliberate attempt to raise the ground level. Three sherds of pottery, one of which is a late 18th century Chinese ware, were recovered. {1}{2}
