Full Description

Cropmarks of an enclosure and associated activity are visible in this area to the east of Torksey Lock, on the Google Maps aerial imagery layer. The enclosure appears as a well-defined feature, with further more poorly-defined cropmarks thought to mark associated activity, both within and immediately surrounding the enclosure. The features are thought to be of possible prehistoric date, although this interpretation remains unconfirmed. Further indistinct features can be seen towards the west, closer to the line of the nearby possible Roman trackway (see MLI53799). {1}
