Full Description

Cropmarks and partially levelled earthworks of probable medieval enclosures, interpreted as the remains of former crofts, to the south-east of Darwod Farm. Visible as a series of adjoining, rectilinear, ditch-defined enclosures, measuring on average 110m by 70m. The remains would suggest the presence of former medieval settlement activity in this area. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
