PRN 64920
There was a parochial chapel in Spanby during the medieval period. The alterage of Spanby was included in the vicarage of Swaton c. 1220. In 1314, baptisms were allowed at the chapel and in 1399 burials were allowed by papal privilege. The location of this chapel is unknown. {1}
