Full Description

Earthworks and cropmarks of medieval settlement remains, identified on aerial photography. Likely associated with the nearby Church of St Mary (PRN 41762). {1} Finds of medieval pottery have been recovered from the area to the south of the churchyard, in an area known as 'Poors' Plot' (PRN 46914a - TF 4712 5859). The finds included part of the handle and top of an early medieval curfew fire cover, along with sherds of Toynton or similar ware. {2}
