Full Description
Stamford Camp was a Prisoner of War Camp during the Second World War. It is an example of a 'Standard Camp'. In the official government numbering it was camp number 106 and referred to as Stamford Camp, Empingham Road, Stamford. It is recorded as a German working camp. {1}
The camp is visible on the OS 6 inch maps of the early 1950's. {2}
Housing has now been built on the site. {3}
