PRN 64640 Garden house. c.1880. Wood with thatched roof Hexagonal plan. The sides have rustic wood panels decorated with split branches and roots. Stained glass windows.The interior has bench seating and split-branch framing to rattan lining. Door has split-branch panels. An unusually complete survival, this garden house is close to and associated with The Pines and attached former seed warehouse. The site was laid out as a nursery and seedsman for John Sharp c.1830 and greatly enlarged c.1880 for Charles Sharp who specialised in dealing in seeds.
