Full Description

Two three-storey red brick buildings of 18th century origins with modern shop fronts, listed together. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} The stone outbuilding to the rear of no. 12 was surveyed prior to conversion. It is thought that this building represents the survival of a farm building constructed prior to 1770 during the previous agricultural use of this area, before extensive urban redevelopment in the late 18th century. The building appears to have been used for various different purposes including as stable or carriage house with a granary above although its original function is unclear. {2}{3}
