Full Description

PRN 24033 Parklands. One and a half miles west-south-west of the village. A plain five-bay house of c.1840. The date 1812 must refer to earlier work - possibly the time of the stick baluster staircase within. At the back a handsome neo-Georgian addition by J.E.Spain.{1} Cardwell Farm, Gedney. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
