Full Description
The remains of a mound were noted in a ploughed field. The soil of the mound was extremely fine compared with the rest of the field, and the area of fine soil was about 50 yards in diameter. In association with this feature was a great quantity of briquetage and Romano-British pottery (mostly greyware). Some Iron Age pottery was also observed. A possible track was also noticed leading from the vicinity of this site to the Car Dyke (see PRN 64548). {1}
