A smithy is shown in this location on the 2nd edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey County Series map. {1}
No blacksmith is mentioned in White's 'Directory' of 1856, suggesting that the smithy was founded in the second half of the 19th century. {2}
The building has been demolished and no trace could be discerned on Google Maps satellite imagery. {3}
