A metalled surface of 18th century or later date was uncovered during a watching brief. A stone wall of similar date was also observed at the north of the site and this probably represents a boundary wall. {1}{2}
The metalled surface probably represents the farmyard of Sudbrook Heath Farm which is shown on the 1905 O.S. map but no longer exists. {3}
