Full Description

A fired clay object in a Bronze Age type fabric was found somewhere near Howell. The object may have functioned as a large spindle whorl. It was asymmetrically biconical with an off-centre perforation, measuring 5cm high with an average diameter of 6cm. It was made of a fabric that is similar to that of known Bronze Age pottery, and its surface was decorated with zones of fingernail impressions. {1}
