Full Description

PRN 64428 A small quantity (23 sherds) of Bronze Age pottery found within middle to late Iron Age features and topsoil deposits. Over half this group consist of relatively thick, grog-tempered fragments from a least two vessels with the same sherd families. Almost all have heavily burnt interiors, closely resembling the Bronze Age cremation urns found nearby (see PRN 64421 and 64422). However, as there are no other diagnostic features, the dating here is tentative. May indicate a Bronze Age cremation cemetery site nearby. However there is not enough evidence to support this.{1}{2}
