Full Description
Complex of farm buildings and farmhouse, along with two newer houses forming part of the group which is situated within the Wilsford conservation area. The main farmhouse has a datestone inscribed 'CP 1842', and is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar details and a slate roof and consists of a 3 storey central range flanked by symmetrical ranges descending to 2 and 1 storey. The initials CP probably stand for Charles Parkinson who purchased the estate in 1815. The farm buildings include a single storey range of outbuildings to the north and a former farmbuilding to the east which has been recently extended and converted into a house. Further to the east are two newer limestone rubble, slated roofed, houses which appear to form part of the current Hall Farm complex. {1}
Unnamed farmstead (Hall Farm), Wilsford. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a Church and/or Manor farm group. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
