Full Description

PRN 64279 In the field behind The Lodge is a cluster of trees surrounding an oblong pond. This may be the remains of a medieval fishpond associated with Haverholme priory (PRN 60740). The priory fishponds are recorded in a number of medieval documents. {1} The pond is shown on the 1905 Ordnance Survey map and labelled as 'Fish Pond', although not in the Gothic font used for antiquities. {2}
