Full Description

PRN 64240 Lock on the Slea Navigation, converted into a boathouse at some time although this has now lost its roof. Alongside it is a pumphouse, the now empty chamber having above it the remains of the pump which was manufactured by Hett of Brigg. {1} The Slea Navigation built a lock here in 1792-4. It had to bypass a mill (PRN 64281), and the mill race still survives on the far side of the lock. {2}
