Full Description
Site of a former stone quarry pit, to the west of Slate House, Ashby de la Launde and Bloxholm. It is of likely post-medieval date, though is marked on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map as an 'Old Stone Pit', suggesting it was no longer being worked by the time of that survey. {1}
The former pit appears to have been fully back-filled, and is now in use as a parking and storage area for agricultural vehicles and products. {2}
