Full Description

PRN 64098 Site of gamekeeper's cottage and associated pheasantry's, Keeper's Covert, Ashby de la Launde. The buildings appear on the Ordnance Survey maps of 1891, 1905, 1956 and 1985 but do not appear on modern maps. Therefore, the cottage was probably demolished sometime after 1985.{1} {2}{3}{4} The buildings were probably part of the Ashby Hall estate, built during the expansion of the estate by the Rev. J.W.King in the period 1836 to 1875.{5}
