Full Description

PRN 64095 Drinking fountain and water trough, Main Street, Ashby de la Launde. Depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map of 1891 and the County Series map of 1905.{1}{2} The drinking fountain appears to have been built during the expansion of the estate by the Rev. John William King (sometime between 1841-1875). A photograph of the fountain is contained in a recent historical study.{3}
