Full Description

Grade II Listed farmhouse, originally constructed in the 17th century with later additions. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} A full photographic and descriptive survey of the eastern end of the house was carried out prior to a possible application for Listed Building Consent and all features of historical interest recorded. A brief survey of historical documents and maps relating to the building was also carried out. {2}{3} Part of the stone footings of a former barn associated with the farm were uncovered during a watching brief. {4}{5} Stone Haven, Billingborough. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with three sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached with the long axis facing on to the yard. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {6}
