Full Description
Possible Romano-British villa or farmstead, to the west of Baumber. Identified on aerial photographs examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
Example of a settlement of nucleated form, with well-defined limits, but lacking the strict rectilinearity of villa sites, but which, nevertheless, can be attributed villa status. In terms of morphology the complex conforms with the three villa-type sites from the Ancholme Valley. {2}
