Summary

A scatter of medieval pottery, to the east of Tetney.

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

A scatter of abraded medieval pottery was recorded in this location, during a watching brief on a pipeline route. No similar material was observed in adjoining fields and it did not appear to represent a high background level of medieval pottery that could be explained as refuse spread from the settlement of Tetney. The scatter was interpreted as spread from the periphery of an isolated dwelling a short distance east or west of the finds. {1}{2}
