Full Description

PRN 56656 Transmitter buildings built by Marconi for the Post Office Imperial Wireless Scheme in 1927. They transmitted to India and Australia using the HF 'Beam' system. The station closed in 1939 but guy rope anchorages for the aerial towers can still be seen in the adjacent field. The receiving station was at Burgh le Marsh. {1}
