Mid 19th century milepost at Bicker Road, Swineshead. It is triangular in plan, and made of cast-iron. It is inscribed with the makers name 'HOWDEN & SON, BOSTON, 1835' in the top panel, 'SLEAFORD 13 MILES' and 'HOLBEACH 13 MILES' in the respective side panels, and 'SWINESHEAD' at the base. {1}{2}{3} The milepost was inspected as part of a condition survey of historic milestones in Boston Borough, conducted in early 2020. It was found to be in a relatively good condition at that time, with only limited signs of rust. {4}
