Probable Medieval settlement, Burgh le Marsh, depicted as earthwork enclosures, field systems, field boundaries and ridge and furrow on the NMP.{1}
The area (except for the small triangle of land surrounding buildings on Ingoldmells Road) has since been under arable cultivation. {2}
