Full Description

PRN 13837 Former school, now village hall. Founded in 1665, extended and altered in 1878 and in the 20th century. Constructed in red brick with ashalr dressings,and with a raised brick coped tumbled gable to left and moulded kneeler. The school has fishscale tiled roofs. L-shape in plan, single storey and a much altered four bay front with brick plinth and band rising over a formal central door and flanking windows in Fen Artisan Mannerist style. The school, originally for Boys, was endowed by Anthony Pinchbeck, yeoman of Butterwick.
