Full Description

Earthworks of medieval ridge and furrow at Addlethorpe, identified on aerial photography by the National Mapping Programme. {1} Medieval ridge and furrow survives as earthworks and is visible (in 2013) on Google maps. The area of the surviving ridge and furrow extends beyond that indicated by the NMP data. {2} An additional area of ridge and furrow earthworks was identified during analysis of aerial photographs in July 2004. The remains were identified as a series of parallel linear earthworks, aligned on a roughly east to west axis. {3}
