Full Description

Whitehaven Farm is a well-preserved example of one of the smallholdings built with governement funding after the First World War to resettle ex-soldiers. The farmhouse and other farm buildings including stables and a pigsty are all in working order (the house has been lived in until very recently, and is currently for sale as a dwelling) with few later alterations. The survey also recorded full details of internal layout - many of the original internal features are still present. An exact building date is not known but it is likely to have been between 1922-1925. {1}
