Full Description
An extensive area of well preserved earthworks at North Kelsey representing a complex of fishponds and associated sluices and drainage are visible in NMP {1} and LIDAR {2} data, along with the remains of a grange and building platforms possibly associated with the priory site at North Ormsby {3}. The site is Scheduled, ref. 1020354. The complex incorporates the route of an approximately east to west running stream, with at least two extant fish ponds to the west and their associated systems of drainage. At least two building platforms are apparent to the northeast along with an arrangement of banks and ditches overlaying the broadly north south aligned ridge and furrow in the area.
