A roughly symmetrical, V-shaped ditch with a slightly rounded base was discovered during work on a British Gas pipeline. The ditch measured 1.65m deep by 3.25m wide, cut into the chalk bedrock. One fragment of Romano-British pottery was recovered from the tertiary fill, though this could be re-deposited. The feature was probably a boundary ditch.{1}
