Full Description

A walk-over survey of a proposed pipeline route recorded the presence of several sherds of medieval or post-medieval pottery in ploughsoil. {1}{2} Two sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from the fill of a linear feature in May 2010, during trial trenching on land at Spalding Road, Deeping St James. The sherds were joining fragments of a 12th to 14th century jug or jar of Ely-type ware. {3}{4}
