Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

PRN 63963 A watching brief identified a sequence of undated deposits, including an east to west aligned ditch, a subsoil and a large pit. No finds were rertrieved from the fills of these features. The pit may have been a refuse pit, although it lacks clear evidence of discarded rubbish, or it may have been a quarry pit for clay extraction. The subsoil is probably of agricultural origin and the ditch may have been a boundary. {1}{2}
