Full Description
Allington Camp was a Prisoner of War camp during the Second World War. It is an example of a 'Standard Camp'. In the official government numbering it was camp number 51 and referred to as Allington Camp, Grantham. It is recorded as a German working camp. {1}
The camp is visible on the OS 6 inch map of the early 1950s. {2}
The site became a caravan park and later housing appears to have been built on the site. {3}
