Full Description

PRN 55250 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on land adjacent to the Fossdyke Canal, Torksey. The watching brief retrieved seven sherds of Romano-British pottery, representing five individual vessels. The material dated from the mid 2nd to 4th century and comprised mainly of locally made greywares. The sherds of Romano-British pottery recovered from the site suggest Romano-British activity in the immediate area.{1}{2}
