Full Description
2005. An archaeological watching brief was carried out at The Horse Close, Chapel Lane, Minting. The work revealed the remains of a cobbled surface composed of water-worn stones pressed into a bedding layer. This appeared to be some form of hard standing or yard surface which, by its juxtaposition to an early Medieval rubbish pit (PRN 46416), could have been associated with this feature. However, as no finds were retrieved the feature remains undated. He full extent of the surface could not be determined as it extended northwards beyond the limits of the excavated area.{1}{2}
