Full Description

PRN 63854 A moderate assemblage of Romano-British pottery was found during fieldwalking in Leasingham. The pottery was mainly greyware and was concentrated approximately 100-200m from the northern edge of the field. Two possible tesserae were also retrieved, as well as a single fragment of building tile (tegula).{1} A ceramic spindle whorl, presumed Roman, was found in this field at TF 0536 4916 and a greyware rim sherd was found at TF 0520 4935. Both finds were made by a member of the public in 1971. {2}
