Full Description

PRN 36598 An archaeological watching brief and excavation were conducted along the route of the Silk Willoughby to Staythorpe Gas Pipeline. The work idenified a number of ditches and pits containing pottery dating to the middle to late Iron Age. The ditches were thought to be part of enclosures or field systems from a farmstead or settlement.{1}{2}
