Earthworks of possible former field boundaries and enclosures of possible post-medieval date, to the north of Marshchapel West End. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} The earthworks were also noted during a site visit conducted in August 2004, as part of the Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marsh project. Rather than being enclosures, they comprise the remains of medieval ridge and furrow, with occasional breaks due to later post-medieval and modern disturbance. The ridge and furrow survives as a series of parallel linear earthworks, as seen on the Google Maps satellite imagery layer and on LiDAR data for this area. {3}{4}
