Cropmarks and earthworks of a packed or metalled trackway of likely post-medieval date, to the south of Marshchapel. Visible as a curvilinear feature running for approximately 400m along a roughly east to west alignment. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} The former trackway extends much further to the east than the extent previously identified by the NMP, as can be seen on the Google Maps satellite imagery layer and on LiDAR data for this area. Although initially thought to be of post-medieval date, the trackway aligns well with what is thought to be a medieval drove road to the west, and may represent a continuation of that drove road (see MLI98663). {2}{3}
