PRN 63702
A watching brief and subsequent excavation conducted along the route of the Silk Willoughby to Staythorpe Gas Pipeline recorded an isolated, sub-rectangular pit. It was undated, but the excavated remains indicate it was a hearth and contained lumps of burnt clay, burnt and firecracked stones and some charcoal. {1}{2}
