Full Description
Medieval ridge and furrow earthworks were identified from aerial photographs. {1}
An earthwork survey was undertaken in March 2011, on land east of East Street, Alford. The majority of the field was flat and level although three possible ridges were observed. The space between these ridges is too large for ridge and furrow though. If there was ridge and furrow on this site, it has been almost completely ploughed out. Undulations were observed at the northern boundary of the site. {2}{3}
